International Day of Yoga - 108 Sun Salutations Donation Based Class

We believe that everyone should be able to practice yoga.

There is a growing body of evidence which suggests that yoga can have measurable positive effects on health and healing. Studies show that yoga can reduce stress; lower heart rate and blood pressure; relieve anxiety, depression, and insomnia; improve immune function; and support overall physical health, strength, and flexibility.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to practice yoga. Incarceration, illness, systematic bias and prejudice, and lack of funds, for example, can make it difficult — if not impossible — to access the benefits of this transformative practice.

How You Can Help

You can help bring yoga to those who might not otherwise have an opportunity to practice by donating to the Give Back Yoga Foundation through my fundraising page.

Join Maribeth for a weekend of exploration discovery, experience, fun and yumminess!

During this two day workshop, you will:

  • Discover how the 5 elements of nature come together to create the 3 Doshas of Ayurveda

  • Determine your Dosha

  • Learn how to nourish yourself with foods to balance your Dosha

  • Experience yoga practices and meditations to balance the Doshas

  • Experience the 5 Pillars of Radical Well-being and 10 Keys to Happiness as taught by Deepak Chopra

  • Learn how the 5 elements of nature appear all around us and within us

The weekend includes:

  • Ayurveda inspired yoga practices

  • Ayurveda inspired meditations

  • Instruction about the 5 Elements and how they come together to for the Doshas

  • Discover how healthy emotions help to create well-being
